DESIGNING, BUILDING & REMODELING

SINCE 1925

As a family, we have been building and remodeling homes since 1925, as well as over a span of three generations.

The building process revolves around the client, their needs, wants, and their budget. We never try to push a client towards an outcome that can benefit the company. The client will formulate a list of needs and we will help design a project around these needs, in conjunction with the site.

Our Mission

Our Mission at Joseph Chapdelaine & Son's is to provide our clients with superior service. We use an innovative design and planning process with a budget conscious approach to every project. With having the finest crafts people available, we are able to complete jobs on time with unwavering attention to detail for your home, or remodeling project. This was our grandfather Joseph's legacy.

RJ Chapdelaine

Our Grandfather and Grandmother; Joseph and Florida Chapdelaine, came from Canada in 1924. Joseph started Jos. Chapdelaine & Sons, Builder in 1925.  Through years of hard work and dedication to his craft, he became a premier local builder. Original Chapdelaine homes can be found throughout Springfield, Longmeadow and East Longmeadow. Through the generations, Joseph's range for building homes expanded from Western Mass to regions in northern Connecticut. The name Chapdelaine is often used as a descriptive testament to the quality of a home. The start of the second generation occurred in the 1940's and 50's. Brothers: Roland, Gerard (Jay), Bobby and Roger did on-site construction work, while the sisters; Yvette and Lucille managed the office. The family continued to build homes throughout Western Mass, Northern Connecticut and Southern Vermont. Third generation builders: RJ and David Chapdelaine ran the show together for some time and remained dedicated to the craft of building quality homes like their Father, Grandfather and Uncles.  Today, RJ has taken full ownership of the company.  On his own, he is making sure to stay true to the quality of homes and remodeling projects, as the generations before. Joseph Chapdelaine & Sons is a family-owned company that prides itself on managing each project from start to finish.  RJ still employs many of the same people as his father to maintain a level of integrity, with regard to workmanship and attention to detail that Chapdelaine Builders is known for.

Three Generations of Excellence, going on four!
