Chapdelaine Builders

History

Grandfather and Grandmother Joseph and Florida Chapdelaine came from Canada in 1924. Joseph started Jos. Chapdelaine & Sons, Builder in 1925 and through years of hard work and dedication to his craft, became a premier local builder. Original Chapdelaine homes can be found throughout Springfield, Longmeadow and East Longmeadow and through the generations, homes can be found throughout Western Massachusetts from Wilbraham to Suffield, CT. The name Chapdelaine is often used as a descriptive when a Chapdelaine home is put on the market for sale, a testament to the quality of a Chapdelaine home. The start of the 2nd generation occurred in the 1940's and 50's with brothers Roland, Gerard (Jay), Bobby and Roger working construction on-site, with sisters Yvette and Lucille managing the office. The family continued to build homes throughout Western Mass, Northern Connecticut and Southern Vermont. Third generation builders RJ and David Chapdelaine remain dedicated to the craft of building quality homes like their Father, Grandfather and Uncles. Joseph Chapdelaine & Sons is a family-owned company that prides itself on managing each project, whether it be a custom new home or a bathroom remodel, from beginning to completion. RJ and Dave still employ many of the same people as their father maintaining a level of integrity with regard to workmanship and attention to detail, that Chapdelaine Builders is known for.
