Though the project hasn’t reached completion, we wanted to share this primary bedroom addition and renovation we’ve been working on, as it highlights some more unique design details. Rather than vinyl, the client wanted to match the Western Red Cedar shakes, pine tongue and groove soffit, and pine fascia that the existing home maintains, as it was built by Chapdelaine in 1950. The absence of exterior trim around the windows highlights a more contemporary finish against the black casement windows as well! Tucked away in a little nook on the pond is a house that’s been part of our client’s family since 1952. They recently decided it was time to remodel. It was important to them to keep open views of the water so they can enjoy the sunrises and sunsets. During the warmer seasons, the back porch is the favorite spot of the house. The home was a small Ranch Cottage that has been reconstructed into a Craftsman style home. The home was built on piers and the second floor sits on the existing sub-grade foundation. Gorgeous industrial farmhouse kitchen! Maple cabinets in a “cashew” stain around the kitchen perimeter and the island painted in a “light mocha” finish. Countertops are “black absolute honed” granite, which gives it the industrial feel. An earthy stone subway tile for the backsplash helps tie everything together. Here’s a whole house remodel currently underway which includes an extensive front porch with a vaulted entry feature, four season room, and a mudroom addition off the kitchen! What a transformation! Walls were knocked down to create an open, flowing space between the living room, kitchen, and dining room. The kitchen was expanded into what used to be an office, which now makes for a large cooking and entertaining space with plenty of seating for the family at the end of the island. The cabinets are a natural maple around the kitchen perimeter and the island and tall pantry cabinets are in color "Hale Navy". The countertops are a beautiful leathered granite that ties the kitchen together. Today’s a perfect winter day for a soak in the tub! This Master Bath was finished a few years ago. It’s a cozy space with heated floors topped with a beautiful marble mosaic design. The tub is a double slipper soaking tub. Here is a Garage to Sunroom conversion. The flooring was added to the garage space to match the existing flooring in the kitchen, and a ductless wall mounted heater was added to the space for keeping the temperature comfortable all year round! With Thanksgiving here tomorrow, we want to wish everyone a happy holiday! We couldn’t be more thankful for all of our wonderful customers and our amazing workers. Candlelight cabinetry - wall cabinets are in color “Warm Ice” and the base cabinets are a Cherry wood with a “Burnished Sable Glaze”. The beautiful countertops are “Blue Dunes” leathered granite. The kitchen was expanded backwards into where they used to have a sitting room. The new space is perfect for entertaining larger groups of people. The counter space is unlimited, so there won’t be a problem finding room to place all the pots and pans! Finished this kitchen remodel/addition last year and we still can’t get over how gorgeous it turned out! The teal cabinet color really makes a statement in this modern farmhouse kitchen. This was a fun project. This room was previously an open-air screened porch with two French doors that connected to the main house. We changed the room into a bar/ lounge room. The ceiling is a beautiful cedar wood and the flooring is a walnut; both bringing warm hues into the room. Plenty of natural lighting is pouring through with these Pella, Architect Series windows. The bar and cabinetry is a driftwood stained quarter-sawn oak with a black glaze. Happy Friday everyone! We hope you all had your fill of delicious corned beef and cabbage for the Irish holiday yesterday! Now, we're ready to chew our way through what's trending for paint colors in 2022! This year we are finally starting to step away from the grays and the whites and move into more “nature-inspired” tones. Blues and greens have been popular for the past few years and seem to be sticking around. Bolder choices such as Pantone and Black could possibly be a part of this year’s palette as well! Many clients’ main concern is with getting tired of looking at the same colors after a while or worry about the colors in their space no longer being “on-trend”. If you are having a difficult time welcoming a big color change to your space, we always suggest creating a neutral space and adding pops of color through accent pieces, such as: pillows, curtains, furniture, etc. We want our clients to be happy with their choice, so we are here to offer advice wherever it’s needed!
